Aims:           By the end of the lesson pupils will be able: to talk about the weather, to describe animals, to recognize the colours. Pupils will be able more aware of: the name of animals, have improved their habits in speaking, listening, reading and writing.

Materials:   Chalk, board, tape-recorder, songs recording, picture and word flashcards, toys, placards, pictures.

Procedure

T: I’m glad to see you too. How are you?

T: Get ready for the lesson. Who is on duty today? Who is absent today? What day is it today? What is the date for today?

3. Warming up

T: Dear children, I see that you like to speak English. Do you like to sing English songs?

T: All right. You see that the topic of our lesson is “Nature”. We’ll talk about the weather and about the animals. We’ll play, sing songs, read, write, describe smth. To the end of the lesson you’ll be able to talk about the weather and describe animals.

2. Activiies

a) T: Dear children, answer my questions.

·         What is the weather like?

·         Is it sunny today?

·         Is it cloudy today?

·         Is it windy today?

·         What colour is the sky?

 b) T: And do you know the month of the year?

      Ps: Yes, we do. (Діти хором називають місяці)

c) T: Thank you very much. Now I’ll show you a placard and you are to find the word which does not mean a month and write it down on a shit of paper.

T: Be very attentive. Listen to me. I’ll read you some words to the topic “Seasons. Weather”. Clap if I’m mistaken.

g) T: Now look at the toy-animals for 30 sec. Try to remember them. Please write down the names of the animals in just the same order. Try to spell English words correct.

h) T: And now I’ll hide one toy-animal and you ask me some questions and guess this toy.

T: Imagine that you are an animal. Describe yourself. Listen to the description of one anmal and guess this animal.
